North Routt Preschool and Early Learning Center
At North Routt Preschool we encourage children to be active members of the learning process. We acknowledge that young children learn from their experiences and from their relationships. We strive to support them in this process by offering many and varied experiences and by honoring their relationships with family, friends and community.

The curriculum at North Routt Preschool uses a project-based approach to learning that honors the Reggio Emilia philosphy. Students participate in small group or large group projects developed out of their interests and expanded by their own ideas. Projects can span over a number of days or months. Some recent projects include a community garden project, worm composting, and creating an outdoor marble run.

Through a strong partnership with nearby North Routt Community Charter School and with the Clark, CO community, North Routt Preschool encourages its students to care for each other and for their community. Collaborative programs such as library story time with the kindergarteners and PE with the fifth and sixth graders help to expand and enrich the relationships of our young students.
